Vendor FAQ – Wool and Fiber Arts

Vendor FAQ

WHAT CAN I SELL?

Any unique fiber related item. We want to avoid mass produced fiber items that others make here. In other words, no commercial alpaca sweaters, limit mass produced roving imported from overseas, drop spindles from large companies and more. Fiber equipment (drum carders, wheels, hand cards) are exempt to this rule. Price fairly. It’s fine to run sales, but try to not drive the market down.

WHEN CAN I SELL?

Only during your scheduled time. You may go over 5-10 minutes, but no more than that.

CAN I SELL IN BETWEEN SALES?

Soft selling in between is okay. If someone contacts you to buy the beautiful batt you made that’s fine. You can not state it’s for sale and must take the conversation to PM.

WHAT CONSTITUTES A GOOD PROMOTIONAL VIDEO?

Informative, engaging, and captivating. It doesn’t have to be long. Show off your passion in fiber arts, and focus on what you love.

WHAT ABOUT ANIMALS? PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT TO BUY MY RABBITS!

Facebook doesn’t allow any animal sales. No exceptions. Please keep sales off even people asking. Refer them to a non-facebook page.

WHAT ARE POLITICS?

“The activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power.” No world politics, no animal politics, no sweeping generalizations that are based on opinion.

WHY SHOULD I PRACTICE MY LIVE VIDEO IN THE BEHIND THE SCENES GROUP?

Practicing in BTS gives you a chance to fix problems with your live video, and figure out what you can do to show off your inventory better, and sell more of it. It is also an opportunity to get feedback from other experienced vendors on your lighting and audio.

Enjoy yourself! We are all here because we love fiber arts!
